Here's how you uninstall Internet Explorer in 7 easy steps:
1. Turn on your computer
2. Back up all your files to offline storage (local is best)
3. Open your favorite mozilla browser
4. Download a REAL operating system (pick your favorite *nix flavor)
5. Install the new OS over that bloated corpseware we affectionately call Window$
6. Pour a cup o' joe, and ...
7. Configure your new system to what YOU want, not what you're being forced to use.
There now. Wasn't that simple?
To answer your question, the variance is due to people linking to the icon download itself, or anonymous users. Take your pick.
